CFSA TEAMS COMPETE

It was a busy weekend for the CFSA community.  We took 7 teams (on a fun bus) to Brunel University on Sunday 10thJune, to compete in the Athletica Series Fitness Competition.  We ran, we lunged, we cleaned and jerked, overhead squatted and wheel-barrow raced (?!).  And four of our teams made it to the podium.  Go us!

A big thanks to all those who came along, and to mumma- Sheridan for rubbing suntan lotion on us to stop us burning in the sun, to Tracy  and Helena for photographing the action and to Ben for supplying us all with Noccos to fuel our wods.

Needless to say, the fun bus was pretty stinky on the drive home.

WINGMAN SUMMER THROWDOWN

It’s coming! The CFSA Summer Throwdown is on 14thJuly.  We’ll kicking things off at 09:30am (tbc), with finals around 1pm. The usual BBQ and beers will follow.  We would love to see you there; to compete, to cheer, to help us flip burgers, drink beer and hang out with your Crossfit community.

Grab a friend and think up a winning team name.  Sign up your team at the box, your coach will show you how to do this, and get training!

We are making this competition as inclusive as possible so that everyone can join in, even if you’ve only been Crossfitting a short while.  Check the Facebook CFSA members group for updates on the event and how to sign up.

NOTE – If your not on the members FaceBook page, ask a coach to add you next time your at the box. We do try to keep it up to date as best as we can 🙂

Thanks to all those who helped to raise money for charity by claiming back their lost property or buying other people’s left items. Your purchases raised £140 for Macmillan Cancer Research. Thank you Sheridan Mcpherson for making this happen.

We will make this a regular feature so keep an eye on the FB page for the next auction.

RANDOM CROSSFIT LIFE HACK:

NO MORE STINKY SHOES!! – If you put a unused/new teabag in your trainers overnight, it will draw out all the sweat and moisture.
