CFSA November Update
The big news this month is about the Winter Throwdown. Save the date, Saturday 8thDecember. Grab a partner and get ready to compete! And this time, you can team up with whomever you want – we’re looking for pairs of any combination of male and female!
Now, your biggest problem will be how to tell your CrossFit boyfriend that you want to team up with your swole girlfriend!
In the coming week we will post a sign up sheet in the box, so start creating your team name.
BURN – Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9am
CrossFit St Albans’ new class BURN starts next week. It will be running every Tuesday and Thursday at 9am. Why not bring a friend? Book your spot on Wodify.
BURN is an hour of high-energy exercise, to torch calories and get you fit. Think minimal equipment, maximum reps and all the fun (bootcamp without the mud). ALL ABILITY LEVELS WELCOME, NO CROSSFIT EXPERIENCE NEEDED.
BURN will be delivered by coaches Claudia and Ben Brewer.
For more information, email email@example.com BURN will run separately from your existing CFSA membership
CFSA COACH FOCUS
This month, our attention turns to coach Ben Pitt, aka Pittisdottr.
Ben found CrossFit 8 years ago and became a coach in 2015.
He’s a prolific competitor, and has won or podiumed at every competition he’s entered. He finished 7thoverall in Europe in his age category (OLD!!) in this year’s CrossFit Open.
Ben takes pride in pushing his (old) limits, moving with efficiency and grace and having the fastest double unders you’ll ever see.
He loves to help our members improve and share knowledge about movement patterns, mobility and technique. Ben is available for one to one coaching, just grab him when you next see him; he’s really not that scar
Originally known as the ‘(old) chipper guy’, you’ll see more of Pittisdottr during the week; we’re happy to report he’s increased his coaching shifts at CFSA.
CrossFit Kids is back after the half term break. Classes resume week commencing 5thNovember.
There are sessions for children of all ages – from teens down to preschoolers.
If you’d like to book your child on to CrossFit Kids, email Coach Claudia at firstname.lastname@example.org
HELP HOMELESS TO STAY WARM
This month, CFSA is helping to keep homeless people warm in winter.
We are collecting your old coats and blankets and will deliver them to local charity EMMAUS at the end of November.
So please take a look in your cupboards and bag up any clean items of warm clothing and bedding that you no longer use. Bring your bag to CFSA, clearly marked, and Coach Claudia will take it from you to deliver to the charity. Any questions email email@example.com
