EAT, TRAIN, REPEAT
You already know what you eat and drink can make or break your fitness and six-pack goals, but the subject of nutrition can be a misleading and confusing puzzle.
We’ve got your back. Coach Alex Clementson returns this month with the CFSA Nutrition Seminar. Now you can learn all you need to know about what to eat to best support your training and Insta-beach (budgie-smuggler) ambitions.
It’s on Sunday 30th September, from 11:30am till 1:30pm and will cost you a tenner. You’ll come away armed with crucial wisdom to make your diet work for you.

GET YOUR CROSSFIT GEAR HERE…
CFSA will soon extend the shop area at the box to include apparel and training equipment like weight belts, skipping ropes and hand guards.
We will be stocking Xenios kit and expanding the line of X-endurance products we currently sell.
As part of the ongoing refurbishment of the facility, we are also improving the changing and shower room areas and putting the new lockers into action.
CFSA COACH FOCUS
This month, our attention turns to coach Ben Brewer, aka Bam Bam or BB.
Growing up, our Ben was always passionate about sport and discovered CrossFit in 2015 when he wanted to shake up his own training methods.
After volunteering at the CrossFit European Regionals in 2016 (and getting his free t-shirt), he took his level 1 CrossFit certificate and began coaching.
Ben is enthusiastic about developing and improving other athletes. “I coach because I love to help people get better. Whether that’s with a specific lift, general training or a target they’ve set themselves, I’m here to support them in any way I can.”
In between epic training sessions, BB once discovered he could fit 22 marshmallows into this mouth (the big ones) while playing Chubby Bunny… Don’t ask…
Ben specializes in Olympic Weightlifting and is currently focused on obtaining his BWL Level 2 award. Want a bigger snatch…? Come and see Ben, email@example.com
FAREWELL TO WESTY
Longtime CFSA coach Andy West leaves us at the end of September. You may not have known that Andy has a law degree and he is off to pursue his dream of ultimately becoming a lawyer.
His final shift is the morning of Tuesday 18th September, but Andy has promised that he’ll keep training at the box and occasionally step in as coach if he misses it too much.
FLEXY-THURSDAY STRETCHING THE MONEY
Over the summer we ran a weekly stretch/mobility class. We groaned and gurned, discovered new muscles and raised money for charity while doing it. Your donations raised £67 during this free class, and we now get to decide where to spend it. There are two choices:
Cancer Research – as part of our fundraising efforts for the Battle Cancer Competition we are participating in during October 2018. https://www.battle-cancer.co.uk
Willow Foundation – this little charity is dedicated to bringing special days to the seriously ill who are between the ages 16-40 in the UK. https://www.willowfoundation.org.uk

CROSSFIT KIDS IS BACK!
From September, CFSA’s popular children’s programme returns.
There are classes for kids of all ages, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
We have loads of fun playing games, monkeying around and learning how to move.
So we can create a safe environment for the children, the classes will be run at times when the box is closed to adults, or in the basement.
